THE MoS2 Paste

GLEIT-μ® HP 500 is a homogenous, good brushable, gray black MoS2 paste, based on a special mineral oil and a combination of dry film lubricant with a high amount of molybdenum disulfide.
GLEIT-μ® HP 500 is the classic, proven allround- MoS2-paste. Because of the exact matched, synergetic effecting combination of dry film lubricant a high lubricating performance, excellent pressure resistance, a wide operating temperature range and dry lubrication characteristics are fulfilled. The basis for the high capability of GLEIT-μ®HP 500 is caused by the characteristic of the dry film lubricants, to plate themselves under glide stress at the area of boundary friction and the area of mixed friction. By that arises a very effective parting– and lubricating layer between the friction parts that also remains under extreme burdening.

Areas of application

The fields of application of GLEIT-μ® HP 500 boundary- and mixed friction area directly result from a particulary characteric of this paste. This high-performance paste is particularly suitable for clean, non-destructive assembly, to optimize the running-in of highly stressed machine elements and to lubricate screws and other machine elements that are used in particular at higher temperatures.

Anti-Seize Solid Lubricant Paste

GLEIT-μ® HP 502 is a homogeneous, grey-coloured high-performance paste based on a selected low-residue synthetic oil and a carefully coordinated, extremely temperature-stable solid lubricant combination. The base oil evaporates slowly at higher temperatures and is low in residues. As a result, the dry lubrication and separating effect via the solid lubricants that then occurs is not hindered. At the same time, the solid lubricants used were selected and matched to each other in such a way as to ensure temperature resistance up to +1500 °C.

At the same time, the solid lubricants used are so selected and coordinated to each other that a temperature-resistance up to +1200 °C is ensured. Through the use of the innovative solid lubricants, it is also ensured that no reactions take place between the screw material and solid lubricant. GLEIT-μ® HP 505 does not contain any free heavy metals like lead, copper, aluminum, sulfur or molybdenum sulfide, which are known to react with the screw material at higher temperatures and weaken them.

White High Performance Paste

GLEIT-μ® HP 510 is a homogeneous, extremely smooth, white grease paste based on a specially selected mineral oil with a high proportion of coordinated, highly effective, light-colored solid lubricants. The selection and the proportion of solid lubricants is chosen so that this high-performance paste has good pressure absorption capacity in the boundary and mixed friction area – especially with oscillating, vibrating movements, minimizes the risk of fretting corrosion and optimizes the lubricating properties. High performance paste

GLEIT-µ® HP 525 is a homogeneous, white lubricating paste based on mineral oil with a high proportion of reactive white solid lubricants. When energy is supplied through the action of the load and relative movement of the friction partners, these cause an extremely wear-resistant reaction layer to form, which enables a significant reduction in friction and wear and a run-in acceleration under mixed and boundary friction conditions – especially with vibration wear. Examples of use

  • O-rings, seals – ease of assembly, lifetime lubrication
  • Lubrication of components with material pairing plastic / plastic, plastic / metal, rubber / rubber, rubber / metal etc.
  • Plastic guides, plastic slide rails
  • Release agent (for extreme requirements)
  • Insulators, switchgear (prevents fl ash-overs and leakage currents)
  • Lubricant for assembly purposes (cables, wires, …)
  • Food and medical technology (physiologically harmless)

Product characteristics

  • very high oxidation resistance and chemical neutrality
  • very good chemical resistance, waterrepellent and steam resistant
  • no resinifi cation, wide temperature range
  • thixotropic and very adhesive
  • very good compatibility with plastics and elastomers
  • also suitable for vacuum applications
  • very good dielectric behaviour
  • not subject to labelling, all ingredients meet the USDA or FDA guidelines

High performance paste

GLEIT-µ® HP 580 is a white, smooth grease paste based on mineral oil and a synergetic combination of reactive white solid lubricants.
When energy is supplied, the solid lubricants cause the formation of an adhesive, wear-resistant reaction layer on the friction partners, which enables a significant reduction in friction and wear under mixed and boundary friction conditions, especially with oscillating sliding wear. Special additives improve the anti-corrosion effect and adhesion.

Areas of application

GLEIT-µ® HP 580 is used to lubricate machine elements that are exposed to high pressures, shock loads, vibrations and oscillating movements. Static and kinetic vibration wear (tribocorrosion, fretting corrosion) is prevented or significantly reduced. Eating (welding) of the friction partners is avoided and the running-in phase is significantly shortened.

Examples of use

  • Pivoting bearings (steel / steel, steel / bronze), plain bearings (steel, bronze, brass also in perforated design), sliding guides, column guides
  • Spindle drives, fittings
  • Splines, gear couplings
  • Cardan shafts, ball joints, ball sockets
  • Hinges, bolts
  • Ring springs
  • Small gears
  • Chuck (no drop in clamping force)
  • Drive couplings with overload protection
  • Stainless steel screw connections
  • Tool mounting plates on tool and forming machines, stone splitting machines
  • As an insertion aid for bridge segments

Product characteristics

  • Innovative, white solid lubricants
    – Fast build-up of a stable, tribochemical wear protection layer.
    – Exceptionally effective against vibration wear.
    – Reduces stick-slip (stick-slip).
    – Very high load-bearing capacity, safe against adhesive wear (scuffing).
  • Extended temperature application range -40 ° C – 130 ° C
  • Ideally suited for many materials – steel, stainless steel, bronze, brass and titanium.
  • For aluminum and coatings such as hard anodizing, PVD / CVD, DLC and PCO, preliminary tests are recommended.
  • Due to the high solid content, it can only be used with slowly running roller bearings.
