Deep Drawing Lubricants

Deep drawing lubricants are most suited to the non-cutting manufacture of steel or even non-ferrous materials.

Every deep-drawing lubricant in the GLEIT-µ range consists of animal and vegetable fats in order to guarantee excellent forming quality.

Wessely range of deep drawing lubricants
  • non-cutting metal forming
  • stainless steel
  • non-ferrous metals, such as aluminium, copper, brass
  • metal pressing
  • Calibration
  • deep drawing (bathtubs, wheelbarrow tubs, etc.)
  • pipes
  • automotive industry
  • They consist of animal and vegetable oils
  • Water-based
  • constant, low, reproducible coeffi cients of friction
  • optimisation of drawing processes
  • avoids scoring
  • easy to handle
  • drawing material residues are easy to remove
  • for higher tool service lives

Pigmented Deep Drawing Lubricant Paste

GLEIT-μ® TZ 315M is a homogeneous, light-coloured, pigmented deep drawing paste based on vegetable and animal fats in combination with selected solid lubricants. The cold shaping process is optimally supported by the very good pressure resistance and an excellent separation effect. By simply diluting it with water, this deep-drawing lubricant is extremely inexpensive and easy to process.

Areas of application

GLEIT-μ® TZ 315M is a light-coloured paste that is ideally suited as a deep drawing agent for heavy and extremely heavy shaping of steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Examples of use

  • metal pressing
  • profile bending and shaping
  • deep drawing housings, containers and similar forms with high demands on constant lubrication conditions
  • Coarse and medium tension of aluminum wire

Product characteristics

  • highly cost-effective when simply thinned with water
  • facilitates drawing flow
  • scoring on the tool and on the drawn part is largely restricted
  • easy to handle
  • does not attack respiratory organs and is kind to the skin
  • easy to dispose of, no mineral oil

Pigment-Free Deep Drawing Paste

GLEIT-μ® TZ 315MPF is a homogeneous, light-coloured, pigmented deep drawing paste based on vegetable and animal fats in combination with selected solid lubricants. The cold shaping process is optimally supported by the very good pressure resistance and an excellent separation effect. By simply diluting it with water, this deep-drawing lubricant is extremely inexpensive and easy to process.

Areas of application

GLEIT-μ® TZ 315MPF is a light-coloured paste that is ideally suited as a drawing agent for heavy forming of steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

  • pigment-free, easy to clean as a result

Mineral Oil-Free Deep Drawing Lubricant

GLEIT-μ® TZ 316 is a homogeneous, low-viscosity, ready-emulsified and mineral oil-free deep drawing lubricant. The cold shaping process is optimally supported by the very good pressure resistance and an excellent separation effect. GLEIT-μ® TZ 316 is used as delivered. By simply diluting it with water, this deep-drawing lubricant is extremely inexpensive and easy to process. Due to its excellent cooling properties, the product absorbs heat that forms.

Areas of application

GLEIT-μ® TZ 316 is a light-coloured, mineral oil-free lubricant that is ideally suited as a deep drawing agent for heavy shaping of steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Only suitable for non-ferrous metals under certain conditions.

Examples of use

  • metal pressing
  • profile bending and shaping
  • deep drawing housings, containers and similar forms with high demands on constant lubrication conditions

Product characteristics

  • for forming sheet metal of all kinds, including for bodywork
  • facilitates drawing flow
  • scoring on the tool and on the drawn part is largely restricted
  • easy to handle
  • does not attack respiratory organs and is kind to the skin
  • easy to dispose of, no mineral oil – biodegradable
  • good corrosion protection for interim storage

Drawing Oil

GLEIT-μ® TZ 317 is a fully synthetic, water-immiscible drawing oil with excellent drawing performance for the non-cutting forming of sheet metal and the drawing of aluminium wires in rough and medium drawing. This deep-drawing lubricant is compatible with many KTL paint systems. GLEIT-μ® TZ 317 does not leave any cracking residues on work pieces that are tempered after forming and enables welding or soldering without degreasing.

Areas of application

GLEIT-μ® TZ 317 is used for chip-free forming, especially of body parts, and for drawing aluminium wires.

Examples of use

  • body parts
  • profile bending and shaping
  • drawing of aluminium, non-ferrous metals, nickel silver, galvanised sheets, etc.
  • Coarse and medium tension of aluminum wire

Product characteristics

  • for forming sheet metal of all kinds, including for bodywork
  • facilitates drawing flow
  • suitable for non-ferrous metals
  • easy to handle
  • residue free after thermal treatment
  • compatible with cathodic dip coating systems
  • wire drawing of aluminium and aluminium alloys

Your experts for specialty lubricants, coatings and joining technology

As tribologists, we are convinced that friction and wear represent relevant system properties of tribological systems that can be actively influenced.

Due to our knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of tribology, we see it as our daily core task to make our environment a little less frictionless and thus to protect our finite resources as effectively as possible.

Wessely GmbH has been selling special lubricants and contract coating of bonded coating systems in Austria and the neighboring countries since 1975. The high product quality of the high-performance lubricants we use from our own production, combined with careful advice and punctual delivery service, enables us to supply our customers with the desired products on time. Industrial products are becoming more and more special and therefore require increasingly special lubricant solutions. From highly stressed bearings in paper machines to rubber seals in car headlights – every application requires the optimal lubricant solution that we can offer.
