Lubricant films are thin, barely visible, secure lubricant fi lms with exceptional lubricant characteristics. They are ideal for lubricating mass-produced parts for a “storable” application lubrication, for example, on screws, springs, linkages etc.
The products in our GLEIT-µ lubricant film range are ideal for the lubrication of mass-produced parts for “storable” application lubrication, for example. on screws, springs, linkages etc.
To apply the lubricant, the work-pieces are dipped in a lubricant fi lm bath that is thinned with water. After the coating dries, the lubricant is ready for use. After the coating dries, the lubricant is ready for use. Lubricant films are suited to a very wide range of areas of application depending on the type and composition.

Dry lubricant film with a high coefficient of friction
GLEIT-µ® GF 104 is an environmentally friendly suspension of light-colored solid lubricants in water that does not require compulsory identification.
After application and drying, GLEIT-µ® GF 104 results in a transparent, slightly matt dry sliding film.
This lubricant film is designed to achieve the lowest possible dispersion of the coefficients of friction.
Areas of application
GLEIT-µ® GF 104 is specially for mass production components, where a coefficient of friction between μ min=0.15 and μ max=0.18 is required. Furthermore, easy assembly is made possible and oil or grease lubrication (if at all possible) is avoided.
Examples of use
- Chipboard screws, facade screws
- galvanised screws and nuts
- mass-production parts with inorganic metal coatings
- thread-cutting and thread-forming screws
- small parts, such as linkages, bolts, guides, springs, lock-nuts etc.
- plastic parts
Product characteristics
- constant coefficients of friction with low scatter, thus predictability of the machine element high abrasion resistance
- barely visible, but can be identifi ed under UV light
- high adhesion on the widest range of materials
- no influence on other material characteristics
- no compulsory identification requirement, environmentally friendly
- can be processed with other assembly equipment
- dilutable with water
- low tightening torque for chipboard screws
- cost-effective and perfectly executed contract coating possible
- Operating temperature range: -40 to +120 °C
- Coefficient of friction µmin: ca. 0,15
Colorless dry lubricant film
GLEIT-μ® GF 110 is a water-soluble suspension with light-coloured solid lubricants and gives a clean lubricant film with good traction after application and a light satin finish.
After application and drying, this lubricant film results in an invisible dry sliding film with excellent sliding properties.
Areas of application
GLEIT-µ® GF 110 is specially used for mass-production parts, which need to be coated economically in a mass-production part process This is to enable easier and faster assembly due to low friction values and to achieve a defined, predictable friction behavior.
Examples of use
- chipboard and timber screws
- galvanised screws and nuts
- stainless steel and plastic screws
- rivets, dowels, anchor screws
- small parts in switch manufacture
- springs
- linkages
Product characteristics
- constant, low coefficients of friction at low dispersion, allowing the machine element to be predicted
- high abrasion resistance
- barely visible, but can be identifi ed under UV light
- high adhesion on the widest range of materials
- no influence on other material characteristics
- can be processed with other assembly equipment
- low tightening torque for chipboard screws
- cost-effective and perfectly executed contract coating possible
- Coefficient of friction µmin: ca. 0,08

Transparent dry lubricant film
GLEIT-μ® GF 111 is an environmentally friendly suspension of light-colored solid lubricants in water that does not require labeling. After application and drying, GLEIT-μ® GF 111 results in a transparent, slightly matt dry lubricating film.
This lubricant film is designed to achieve the lowest possible coefficients of friction with a simultaneous low scatter.
Areas of application
The areas of application of GLEIT-μ® GF 111 are mass parts that should be coated efficiently with a dry lubricant film. This is to achieve a defined, predictable friction behavior, to enable easy assembly and to avoid oil or grease lubrication (if at all possible).
Examples of use
